The weather was not perfect but we had a great time. Chloe loved walking around and being free from the captivity of her stroller. One day I will figure out how to do one of those collage pictures but for now you will just have to scroll down and look at each individual picture. We started at the Tidal Basin and then walked over to the Washington Monument. It was a bit windy and cold so we didn't spend much time. I wish it was more like today...70+ and beautifly sunny.
Wouldn't this be awesome with a blue sky?
Chloe just has to touch everything lately. We were very careful to look and touch lightly, but not pick any as that is a big no-no according to the Washington Post.
Just such a silly girl. I think she might have been doing one of her piercing screams in this one. Oh don't you want to hear that up close and personal?

When we moved here the base of the monument had a huge white fence around it. It is so nice to see it in all it's glory with the circle of flags waving in the wind. I love DC and living so close is like a dream come true. I just wish my husband would be more willing to make more frequent visits.
Gotta love the "stick out your longest arm and take a picture of the two of us together" picture.
Can you believe this was a year ago? It was so bitterly cold. Mike and I were bundled up and poor little Chloe had to be out to show off her Easter digs. I'm such a selfish mother. But we did have her under a million blankets before and after this picture.

This was the ONLY blossoming tree left because we went so late in the blossom season last year (love the "Port-O-John in the background).

great pictures Mike & Jodi! I recently discovered your blog (from Rachel's, I think) and you should now count me amongst your regular readers. It is great to catch up (if virtually) with all y'all and hear what you're up to. Little Chloe is adorable -- will hope to meet her in person one day. We _love_ DC in the sprintime, and made many a trek up there ourselves when we lived in VA. Great town.
Anyway, keep up the great updates. Nice to have stumbled across your little home on the web!

You know, that's a pretty durn good photo of you two, regardless of how it was taken! That's so great you went down - I couldn't convince James to go. He said something like, "If I'm going all the way down there, it's not going to be for a bunch of trees. That just doesn't get me excited." Sigh.
Just remind Mike that one day you suddenly won't be able to do these things and wish you could. Well, you will wish you could. I love Em's comments...where and how did we 3 end up with such non-cultured husbands? Must be because the 3 of us sucked it all up first! Love to you both (and the boys too)
That picture of Chloe in front of the W. M. is SO cute! You guys are the cutest family. I can't wait to see you--someday. (well, cross you fingers...)
It's so great to see pics of your family. I can believe how much Chloe has changed since we saw her last. FYI the house next to us and behind us is going up for sell. You can take one and Missy and Clark can take the other one. That would be great!!!!
i love the 2nd picture of mike and chloe (her little red cheeks are so precious!) and the one of her in front of the monument.
