Well, it was the normal stroller wrangling through the stores, losing a shoe and spending 10 minutes running through the store looking for it. I think the TJ Maxx employees thought that shoplifting was in progress--only I was running into the store. We were dropping goldfish as our trail to find our way back to the car, and pulling anything within reach of the stroller off the racks. Normal right? Yes.
Then we went to Costco. Neither Serena nor I needed to do any shopping so we went straight to the food. Pizza and churros for all and diet cokes for moms. Mmmmmm. Well, it was all going fine until we got ready to go. I had noticed Chloe had done a few toots and I thought maybe I should check her. What to my surprise...she had blown-out!?! WHAT!?! I'm not prepared for this. She is 16 months old, we don't have to worry about this anymore. Needless to say I didn't know what to do other than change her and take her home in a diaper, raincoat, and socks. Then it dawned on me, I'm at Costco. I can get anything I need here. So as I set out to the bathroom to do the clean up, my sweet friend went to the clothing section to find a suitable, under $10 remedy. The only thing...pajamas. Perfect. We paid for them in the diaper and socks and dressed Chloe in her new digs on an empty check stand. I have to admit the whole time this was happening the thoughts in my head, how will I blog this?
Can you say you have been pretty much naked while shopping at Costco (and not dreaming)? Chloe can and her mother made sure she would have proof of it.

Reminds me of the time during Daniel's initial potty training stages when he wet his pants at a store & the only thing I could find for him to wear was a pair of girls overalls!
Wow, Chloe! Way to pick a place to have a blow-out! Jodi, this is totally in the vein of the poop-in-the-blueberry-container story...this story ranks up there on the list of Things I Never Thought I'd Do Before I Had Kids.
Maybe I should tell James the next time I come back from the mall that I had to make x, y, and z purchase because Zoe pooped her pants. Brilliant!
Lol! Ok, that is too funny. Well, not the blow out, but I love the check stand pic.
I love that YOU are the only one prepared with a camera to document a blow out. way to be a good mom laughing in the moment instead of way later like me. usually i have to calm down before i think it is funny. but hey, we are in the phase of blow outs now so I have lots of spares with me these days! Missing you.
Fabulous...and well played. (If I may say so.)
On top of it mom: 1
Ingenious pooper: 0

Hilarious! I hope neither Maddie or Chloe have a blowout the next time we go with you! I know what you mean though, sometimes I say to Maddie, "Aren't you too old for poops like this?"
