Chloe is driving me crazy about driving. What? She is only 16 months old. I didn't think this was supposed to start this soon. I was expecting her to ask me about going to the mall by herself with her friends before we got into the driving argument. I have to give her credit though, she wants to be buckled in while she is driving. She is a sly devil. It all started by her clarifying who would be driving when ever we went somewhere. 'Mommy, dibe(drive)...Mommy, dibe' or 'Daddy, dibe...Daddy, dibe' and it has evolved into 'Chloe, dibe...Chloe, dibe.' Now she just cries when she doesn't get her way and has to be buckled into the backseat. Here's to hoping that the novelty of driving will wear off with 17 months (it's only a few days away). Fingers crossed.

Jodi, I found your blog of the Burt's and had to comment, because Lauren does the same thing. I'm starting to factor in a few extra minutes so she can drive before we actually leave. She doesn't buckle up though.

So this age was totally the time when Zoe started wanting to play in the car (not nearly as far along as Chloe; she never wanted to "dibe"). It lasted for a handful of months. Just a word of advice: don't let her find anything she can shove into the CD player. Like pennies, for instance. Very bad for CD players.
