Fireplace: Finished!!

The fireplace is finished!  But the sad thing is it has been done for about 6 weeks and I am just now getting around to posting about it.  Mike has been incredible about all the work involved.  He is such a project person.  So, Thanks Mike!  He just started doing our bathroom last weekend so there will be another project to see in a little while.

Here you can see the side pieces that were installed over the black painted brick and the framing for the mantel.  Don't mind the crazy pose Chloe is doing, I can't explain her sometimes.

Here is how Mike kept the project dust semi-contained.  Amazingly the kids didn't bug it too much.  Ryan did love the shop vac attachments!

And a side view of the project.  Then Mike finished the drywall and mudding.  That left me to chose a paint color.

The end result all painted and everything.  The paint color is just something we had on hand and is not the permanent color, but it is done for now.
