At the End of the Day...

I am grateful.  It has been a hard past 7 days.  Nothing extraordinary, just here and there hurdles to over come.  The "being the mom moments" that you don't think about before you have kids.  The whining, crying, tattling, crying, screaming, crying, tantrums, crying, stir-crazy cabin fever things of winter.  I have had a hard time remembering why I love being a mom.  That was until I looked back at the last month of pictures from my camera.  It gave me the opportunity to be grateful for those little moments that I captured.  Those funny, happy, silly, life moments.  I will be honest, I cried.  I look at those two beautiful faces and how fast they are growing up and think of the moments lost.  Why can't I pull it together at those crazy moments and just love on my two babies.  It is just part of this journey to look back and want to be better.  So tonight I am remembering why I LOVE being a mom and what joy these two lives have brought to me and their dad.  We just love them more than words can express.  Tomorrow I will do better!

Aw, I feel the same way. Isn't it so hard to be happy in the moment? I had one of those moments this week. It was stake conference and the usual struggle to keep the girls reverent and quiet in their seats. I looked over at Jeff and he was holding Emma, just nuzzling her. It made me smile. They are so dang cute and it makes us feel so bad when we get mad at them! Thanks for the reminder for me, it has been a rough morning so far. P.S. Your kids are sooo cute! Chloe is a doll and I love her big brown eyes! Reminds me of Maddie's big eyes! Miss you guys! Thought of you at the Super Bowl!
