Chloe and I saw the movie Tangled in November and since then she has been consumed by the character Rapunzel. She received the barbie sized doll for her birthday and has loved the story in her 5 Minute Fairytales since Christmas.
This has become such an obsession that Chloe has now changed her name to Rapunzel. She will often correct us when we call her Chloe and tell us her real name is Rapunzel. Whenever she plays pretend her name is Rapunzel. One day I explained what nicknames where and Chloe promptly told me "Mom, my real name is Rapunzel and my nickname is Chloe and my other nickname is Jane.
So last Friday I took the kids to lunch at McDonald's with Aunt Amy. Chloe can be quite timid and shy so we talked before about it being OK to talk to other kids and make new friends. While Amy and I were talking Chloe came up to us and said "I made a new friend!" Sigh of relief! On the way home I was asking her about her new friend. Our conversation went as follows:
Me: Chloe did you have fun with your new friend
Chloe: Yeah
Me: What was her name?
Chloe: I don't remember right now. (later I found out it was Mia)
Me: Did you tell her your name?
Chloe: Yeah, I told her my name was Rapunzel.

I love this! We have a video of Lane prancing around wanting us to call her Genevive. She would tell people that was her name all of the time. Aw, I miss that stage! Chloe is so stinking cute. I want to come out to see you guys.
