Summer Camping

Chloe and Mike took off last Friday afternoon for an overnight camping trip with some of our favorite friends. They headed up to the beautiful Smith & Morehouse area with the Jensen's. The night consisted of roasting hot dogs and marshmallows, the girls playing stick gun Star Wars games, sleeping in the tent (I think this was Chloe's favorite part), and everything you need for camping...oh, except the clothes bag that was left on mom and dad's bed at home. Mike and Chloe wore the same clothes for 24+ hours, but it made for less laundry when they got home.

Chloe packed the car she was so excited.
She buckled all the pillows, her bag of "friends", sippy cup, and the CD's for safety.
Too bad she was sitting in the broken seat belt, but in her defense she did have it pulled tight across her lap. I just love this little girl (excuse me Big Girl).

One of the many trips to the bathroom. Beautiful scenery on the way though.

Chloe and Emily enjoying fire roasted hot dogs and some summer perfect grapes.

Chloe in the tent. Mike said that after the tent was set up Chloe just wanted to play in it. He had to make her come out to play with Megan and Emily. She was just so excited about the whole camping idea.

Throwing sticks and rocks in the stream. Perfect kid entertainment.
Megan, Emily and Chloe were perfectly content.

The two flu friends that stayed behind.
This is when I was feeling good and thought I was going to get so much done while they were gone. Ha ha! That was a joke.
Ryan was a good baby when I started to go down hill. Both of us were in bed by 8pm.
Being sick with a baby by yourself is the worst thing in the whole world.
(I didn't call anyone because what could they do? Come over and watch? No thanks!)

They got home and we put this filthy little girl in the tub immediately. It didn't take long for her to start complaining that she didn't feel good. Needless to say she caught the flu just like her mom. She was a trooper through it though. It is always breaks my heart to see my kids sick! Poor Mike was in bed the majority of Sunday fighting off the flu effects. The good thing is we are all better and back to normal. Here's to the next camping trip with no sickness to ruin the fun.
