Why, why, why? That is the question that leaves Chloe's lips the most lately. I answer one question only to be answered with, "why mom?" This has gone on for a few weeks now and I have given up at times and resorted to my mom's answer...17. Yes, 17. She would use this on us kids when we would ask the "why?" question incessantly.
Why...why do I need to dry my hands? Why do I have to take a nap? Why do you want that one? Why is it called that? Why don't we need to water the flowers? Why are we going there? Why do I have to pick up my toys? And they go on, and on.
But I love her curiosity about her world around her. I do answer the "why?" questions for the most part. It is just when the string of "why?"'s has gone on for too long that I find myself craving little variety in the conversation. The best thing I have found, as many of you parents know, is the power of distraction. Although, this can lead to another round of "why?" questions.
Love this little girl and her bright mind.

Ah, yes. The why questions. The problem is that there really is no end. Every answer you give can always be followed by another why. I agree with you. I love the curiosity, but occasionally the incessant questions could almost put me over the edge.
17! What a brilliant answer. I'll have to remember that one!
17 is awesome!
And so it begins. The famous why questions I love it:)
