San Diego 2007: The first few days

We spent last week in San Diego with my family. Now we wish we could say we were relocating to San Diego. This has to be the most perfect place on earth. The weather, the beach, the mountains near by, and good Mexican food (none here in Baltimore!). But we had to leave after our time was up, so we sadly got on the plane and cried the whole way home. Thanks Mom and Dad, we had a such a fantastic time!!!

The good news is we have some great pictures to remember the trip. Here they are will a little narration to go along with them.

Here is Mike. When we arrived at the beach he got out of the car and just had to "touch the ocean" as soon as possible. This was just down the beach from where we stayed. I loved this picture because the camera took it just like this. Due to the focus on the sand it make Mike look all cool and fuzzy. What do you think?

Then we found this sign posted on the beach outside our condo. Hmmmm, not a great way to start a week at the beach. Turns out it was from heavy rain fall a few days earlier and it was gone the next day.
Chloe loved the sand. She loved playing with it and running it through her hands. Last but not least she liked eating it. Just like every other kid. This is one of my favorite pictures of her. Her eyes look so blue, yet they are more hazel than anything these days.

Now for the sand on the face picture.

Here we are after a day of travel, a trip to Costco on a Saturday, walking around, and three hours time difference (it was very late for us). But Chloe was an absolute doll.
A cool shot just walking on the beach Sunday night. This was one of our most favorite activities early in the morning or just like this in the evening.

Here is a picture that shows the faces of those on this walk. Jenni, Jon, Chloe and Mike.

A little cousin time on the balcony with JC and Owen. Chloe loved all the entertainment of her cousins again. She is already bored of her toys here at home and we haven't even been home a week. The cousins provided much better play time then her boring old toys here. She misses you guys! (I don't have a good picture with the girls--it must be on someone camera besides ours.)

The first Zoo we took Chloe to was the famous San Diego Zoo. She was not fond of the fake monkeys and gorillas, just the real ones.

This is when we met up with the Thomas's at the hippos (our personal favorite). Love the face JC is pulling. Little Kaelynn is such a big girl now, she is growing up so fast.

Well, that's all for tonight. I will have to dedicate a whole post to the family pictures we had taken. With so many cameras we got some of our own shots and I think on our camera alone we had over 100 pic's. More to come.
