We went to the Zoo today to enjoy the beautiful spring weather. Chloe was on one with her comments. We were standing looking at the baby elephant Zuri, when Chloe turned to me the following conversation ensued
C: What is baby Zuri's last name?
M: I don't think she has a last name.
C: Maybe we should give her one.
M: What last name should we give her?
C: Maybe Davis. Zuri Davis and the mom elephant can have Davis as a last name too.
M: Sure, that sounds good to me.
C: Me too!
Then we wandered past the rhino's and they were enjoying their meal of hay/straw. This conversation made me laugh out loud and call her dad to tell him.
C: Mom, are the rhino's eating hay?
M: Yup, they are.
C: Mom, the more you eat, the more you poop!
M: (stifling my laugh) What did you say?
C: The more you eat, the more you poop!
M: Well, yes that is true. Who taught you that?
C: Ned.
M: Ned?
C: Yeah, Ned.
M: Ned from Dinosaur Train?
C: Mmm-hmm
Well, there you have it. PBS is teaching my daughter some really important lessons about life. Ones that I didn't even think of teaching her. Thanks Dinosaur Train!
As we were looking at the last animals of the day I told Chloe we could go ride the train before leaving. It was a sure hit with her. But as we got to the train she just looked up at me and said "I don't want to ride the train. I just want to go home." Really? Really? Fine by me. Needless to say it was a lovely, relaxing trip to the zoo. Ryan just sat in the stroller and looked at everything. Who knows if anything or any animals were of interest with him, but he was happy and so were we.

So cute! I love going to the zoo. As you can imagine I can't STAND dinosaur train because of all that potty talk! :) Lane was watching it on the computer and I was so confused until I realized that they are trying to teach kids all about bodily functions...I guess for potty training! No thank you! I know, I am such a prude.
Okay, that is too cute! You've got to love PBS! Once we have things under control around here, we have to have you over to play...or maybe even before then. : )
