I thought this was interesting. Today I accidentally clicked on the wrong folder and pulled up July 2008 rather than 2009. These two pictures of Chloe were taken exactly 1 year before Ryan was born. It is amazing to see how Chloe has grown and to think of how our lives changed so much in a year. As of today we have been gone from Maryland for 1 year. It is so sad to think about for me because I miss that life. I miss our friends who were our family. I miss our house and all that we put into it. I miss the green and colorful East Coast. I miss it all. But that being said, I am happy with our lives now. I love our new little boy so much. I love our house and backyard. I love being close to family again. I love it (almost) all.

Do you really miss it all? I guess I will miss things too - maybe even the cramped, cluttered house! Definitely the spring and fall trees, the friends, knowing I could drive to NYC in a few short hours...I'm sure there's more. I'll get to that email after I wash the van!
Your family is so cute. I haven't visited your blog in a few weeks and there is so much to see. I love that chloe is a Ute fan already...way to train her well! And Lake Powell looked like a blast. I haven't been in a few years, but that is one of my favorite places on earth.
I just want to gobble up that new baby....lucky, lucky...I love babies so much! They grow way to fast.
Okay, I got a titch teary eyed reading this post. We miss you out here, too. I am glad that you are where you are though, and hopefully we'll be headed that direction one day, or at least we'll hopefully get a yard. :)
I feel like we lived in a little bubble where as long as we had our friends we were all going to survive. I miss it too, but I also know that going back it wouldn't be the same. It was a most magical time full of ups and downs, wasn't it? I can't believe it has been a year since your stop here. Much, much too long. Wow, I guess that means I have been gone from Maryland almost 2 (gulp) years. Oh wow! Can't wait to snuggle Ryan again soon!
I can't believe how fast it goes. Sometime we feel like we are in the movie Ground Hog's Day but then you see picture like that and you realize how much really changes.
