Hi everyone. I feel like blogging is the last thing on my list right now but I just wanted to post a quick update on our adventure. Sorry, still no pictures due to the laptop crash a few months ago. Hopefully I can paint you a picture that will do for now.
We closed on our house on April 15th and we have been working non-stop since then painting, pulling up carpet, removing moldings, sheet rocking the fireplace, moving all our stuff into the basement, shopping at Home Depot and Lowe's, and lots of sundry things. I really wish we had more time in the day to get things done, because we keep saying 2 weeks and we will start living there. But those two weeks have now been four and are looking like at least 3 more. Uhg! Oh how I wish we could hire a crew to do all of this during the day rather then the few hours a night we have. Mike has been so great about doing so much work for our family. He is a machine! I hate that I can't help him more with all the work. But I was given the okay from my OB to paint so that is one task I have been taking on in this house.
As for the pregnancy, I am huge! We still have 2 months until our due date, but I wish it were closer. But then I remember the house issue and hope he comes right on time. As with Chloe I measure ahead of where I am in this pregnancy. With Chloe it was always 2 weeks ahead and this boy is upping the ante by measuring 4 weeks ahead of where I should be. At the doctor's today I measured at 36 weeks, but I'm only 32 weeks along. Breathing is difficult at times and all the other lovely things that come with pregnancy are present. Other than that everything is healthy and on target. We had an ultrasound yesterday to see how big he really is and he is measuring about 4lbs 4 oz. The average is about 3lb 3 oz. We are expecting a bruiser, again.
As for Chloe, she is doing very well. She has been enrolled in a swim class for the last few months and making great progress. She loves the water and has always been such a fish. She has improved on putting her face and head in the water and doesn't mind going under when her teacher requires it, most of the time. It has been time well spent twice a week at the rec center pool!
As for the sleeping...she is sleeping in the car bed like a champ! She had a rough month while transitioning, but we never went back to the pack-n-play. There were times that it crossed my mind, but we held strong and she is back to her old sleeping ways. We are thrilled! Thanks for all the great advice, we really appreciated all the ideas and support.
Hopefully I can get some pictures uploaded in the near future, but don't hold your breath. We seem to be preoccupied lately.

Oh my, it really sounds like we are very much in the same boat, even size-wise since you're measuring where I'm at! And all the housework, and our "machine" husbands forging ahead when they're not working-working, and wanting to not be pregnant but not being ready...big hugs to you. I miss you so much. And I owe you an e-mail! Hang in there, can't wait to see all the great things you do to the house. It WILL be worth it to have so much done before Baby comes!
thanks for the update. good luck with the house -- and the little one(s). Glad things are going well. Can't wait to see pics of the house.
Only a week or so til we can have Diet Coke and breathe for a second. Bart and I will help out however we can. we still owe you for free labor in maryland many a time, my friend. Hang in there. glad to hear chloe is back to herself. try to put those feet up at night? are they swelling like they did with chloe or is that one blessing from being out of the humidity?
So good to talk to you the other day. Hey, I was perusing all your blog links and suggest you add the cooking blog I belong to, it's "girl in the kitchen" on my blog. Dallas started it and there a ton of good recipes on there too (in case you feel like cooking, I'm just trying to figure out what to make for the next few days! Ugh!) Hang in there! Love ya!
Sounds like all is going well. Take it easy on the house repairs..no one in your condition should be sniffing too much paint! lol You'll end up with kids like me and you!
Hang in there, and good luck.
Hang in there, guys! I totally know what you mean about fitting the house-construction time in around all the other stuff going on like jobs and family, not to mention a little down time. It's rough! Good luck this last leg of your pregnancy...
I know exactly how you feel about not being able to breath. When I was pregnant with Riley I was mesuring 14 week ahead... and he wasn't even a big baby!
It was fun today at the park! I can't wait for your little guy to arrive.
