AT EXACTLY 4:47 EST CHLOE DID YELLOW IN THE POTTY!
She woke up dry from her nap and we took the diaper off. She then proceed to the potty to try, but alas it was not time. So she ventured into the hallway with just her dress on (sans diaper) and started to do some pee-pee's on the rug. I shrieked, "Stop, come go potty in the potty!" Chloe was a little hesitant but eventually she wandered back to her potty to have a seat. I ignored her fearing my presence was making her nervous. She then started to do her yellow's. We cheered, ok, I cheered and she looked confused. I then told her we could call Daddy at work and she smiled at the idea. We called Mike at work and he gave a reserved congratulations. He might have had a few frowns from co-workers if he had yelled out "way to go POTTY!"
We have had some "nhem-mem-nhem's" (M&M's) for a treat (I'm so glad I didn't eat them). Well back to work. Just thought I would share our good news. I don't expect this to be to quick but they do say girls catch on quick...
7.10.08 UPDATE: We are continuing to have success. For the last three days Chloe has woken up dry and done yellow's in the potty. She has also done a potty or two before bath time. I guess I had better start reading a book to find out what to do with potty training a 20 month old.

Can I just say I'm a little jealous. Jackson will stand in front of the toilet and pull his shirt up... I'm not sure he's got the concept down yet... he never tries to pull his pants down. Can't wait to be rid of diapers.
Yea for Chloe! I think potty training is my least favorite thing with raising children. So good luck.
Yay, congratulations!! This was more than a week ago... how are things going now?
Melinda nearly trained all by herself close to the same age. But now I've got a new challenge - a nearly 3-year-old boy! He's getting into the potty training now. I very briefly considered taking him to church with no diaper, but quickly realized that it would most likely be a mistake. He surprised us by coming home with a dry diaper, though, so maybe we'll be down to one child in diapers soon!
